Percentages use all candidate votes reported so far, including other parties. Governor uses 2024 Governor results where available, otherwise 2024 President. “Change” compares the current Democratic minus Republican margin with the selected 2024 election margin, in percentage points. Early returns can be very unrepresentative of the final result. This is a comparison across different elections, not a forecast.
House totals combine distinct district races; missing or unreported districts can skew the state total. Senate and governor totals use one contest per state; a race selector appears when there is more than one. Local detail uses one geographic level per race, never counties plus their towns. The 2024 House baseline aggregates all districts; uncontested races without published vote counts are excluded. Regular and special 2024 Senate contests stay separate, with a selector where both exist. Independents remain “other,” even when they caucus with a major party. Congressional totals exclude blank, invalid and over/undervoted ballots; ranked-choice results follow the rounds published by the Clerk. Source reporting percentages are not necessarily the percentage of ballots counted. 100% reporting does not mean certified.
